Our business model is based on building the largest network of branded Job Boards. If the model is to succeed we need to make it as accessible as possible. Our model is based on economies of scale. In order for everyone to benefit from each other’s success we need to get the brand out into the market place in a short period of time. The founders of the business are predominantly interested in making this new business model work rather than making profits.
- How do we pay Jobshop HQ Ltd for our Jobshop board?
You pay for your board by monthly standing order.
- Do I have to set up my Jobshop as a new company?
It is entirely up to you as to how you form your Jobshop board. Whether you integrate it into an existing business or take advice on company structure from an accountant, the choice is yours.
- Do I own the company in its entirety?
Yes, you do. Jobshop HQ Ltd retains no equity in your Jobshop business.
- Do I get to keep all the profits?
Absolutely! You get to keep all of the profits.
- Are there any hidden costs with the Jobshop board?
Not unless you require any specific development work done for your site that falls outside of the package offered.
- Do I own the domain name?
No, the domain name is owned by Jobshop HQ Ltd
- Do I own the technology?
No, the technology is licensed to you but you do not own it. The technology is ultimately owned by Strategies Group plc, from whom Jobshop HQ Ltd license it.
- How long will it take for my site to go live once we have reserved our domain name?
Your site should be live with 7 days, and compatible with Broadbean with 4 weeks.
- How do I determine pricing and when to charge?
We can give you some guidance, but much depends on your market sector and the success you have made of your board.
- When can I expect to make profit from my Jobshop board?
We have some estimated projections as an example, but as before much depends on your input and passion for success.
- Is there a limit to how many Jobshop boards I can own?
No, there is no limit, subject to availability.
- What if I don’t like the colour scheme?
We have 6 different colour schemes to choose from.
- Will I have to organise my own stationary?
Yes, we will provide you with logos and any other material that you might need in order to have your stationary produced. We have had example stationary designed should you wish to follow the group standard.
- Who will be responsible for invoicing and taking payment?
You will be. It is your own business and is run by you.
- Where will the servers be kept and how secure are they?
The servers are held at the offices of Strategies Group plc and are rigorously backed up and water-tight disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Will I have access to technical support?
The boards are very simple to use and there shouldn’t be any need to call us as you will have comprehensive instructions, but in case of emergency we do have an experienced technical support team.
- Will there be any sharing of information?
Absolutely not. The Data Protection Act exists for everybody’s protection.
- What happens if I want to sell my Jobshop board?
As per your contract, Jobshop retains the right to 10% of the gross profit from the sale of the job board.
- So what will happen to the monthly payments?
The buyer of the board will take over responsibility for the monthly payments.
- What will happen if I no longer want the Jobshop board?
At the end of your contract the board will be returned to Jobshop HQ for us to find a new owner. There is no financial penalty.
- Will we receive the benefit of any new technology as it is developed?
Yes, Jobshop HQ will always look to implement new technologies and any upgrade offered to you will be free of charge.
- What happens if we have an idea for development but we want to keep the technology for just our site?
This is entirely possible. Your site operates independently of anyone else’s and should you pay for any development work this will only apply to your site.
- Who controls the Peelitback™ advertising corner?
As part of the agreement, Jobshop HQ retains the rights for advertising in this one and only part of your site. The advertising programmes are controlled directly by us and Jobshop HQ retain all revenue from this area.
- Will it be possible for Jobshop owners to negotiate deals with large multi-disciplinary recruitment firms who want to bulk advertise?
Yes, we hope so. Jobshop owners can interact and discuss any revenue splits on our Jobshop customer forum. Much depends on your ability to negotiate as a group, no matter how small or large. At Jobshop HQ Ltd we have a team of developers and programmers that can make anything happen with regards to back office functionality.
- What if there are crossovers with vacancies on Jobshop boards?
There will inevitably be competition between Jobshop owners for business from certain clients. Competition and communication is healthy. Whilst the boards will cover separate areas it is natural that as with all boards there will be some crossover. It is up to you to turn this to your advantage.
- How can we keep updated with regards to the group progress?
You can keep updated via our social media channels where all news will be released.
- Will there be a communal budget for advertising the Jobshop network?
This has yet to be decided and depends on the attitude of Jobshop board owners.
- Will there be network events organised?
Yes, as soon as we have enough numbers for it, we will be organising occasional events for Jobshop owners.
- What will happen if someone wants to purchase the whole business?
We are not interested in selling Jobshop HQ Ltd. It is a long-term vision.
